I vintage-ed my cat, originally uploaded by [ r ♥ c e y t ♥ y ] {I br♥ke for bokeh}.
I wanted to take the vintage aliumery preset used this morning and make one that had more of a pinkish cast to it – like those very old photomographs you find buried in your grandmother’s attic. I came up with this, vintage aliumery 2 for Adobe Camera Raw | Lightroom. Yes, I’m very original.
The point I am trying to make? These free presets (along with all the others) are now available for download, free, for Photoshop Elements (6 & 7).
Magical:
Add sunlight
Bright
Drama Queen
Moody
Nostalgia
Rain
Soft Glow
Vintage:
Vintage Aliumery
Vintage Aliumery 2
Instructions on installation have been updated (with graphics) for using the Presets in Elements
Also? I think I have a vintage addiction. I can’t stop applying these two presets to my photos.
Also, also? I discovered today that the rounded corners, which I cannot do in ACR/CS3, works when applied with a preset made in ACR/ CS4. I’m going to make up a preset for rounded corners! Just not right this instant. Sry.
[…] figured if a dipy would use up two photos, a tripy? Even better. All hit with the Vintage Aliumery 2 preset. Also? Rounded corners – which is now a preset available free for download for both Adobe […]

Ummm…Vintage Aliumery link goes to Add sunlight instead. Not that I don’t need more sunlight, just that I want to get my aliumery all vintagey now, since, well, that seems to be the trend here. Old is new, etc. 🙂
Thanks for catching that, Delwin. It’s now fixed.

Hey looks like some gr8 goodies to be found here on this pretty blog..will have to return..I’ve too much catching up to do right now on flickr…and then I am in the middle of building my web site..but I want to try out your presets…but question: do they work with CS3 as well??? or I guess I could use in lightroom right? okay duh..!
;-D sue
They work in CS3 and 4, sue!
thank you sooooo much!!!
Do these work in PSE7? I’ve never worked with a dng file before, so I don’t know what to do with it.
Yes, they work in Elements 7, Brenda.
I’d try a flickr group for Elements or maybe search on youtube for tutorials? There should be many.
thanks!
Hi raceytay,
I love your actions but aren’t sure how to open them since they are a dng. I downloaded a convertor from adobe and all that I am getting is the photo opened in camera raw… =( What am I doing wrong. Thanks and keep up the great work!
Hi Barbara
DNG files are not actions. They are for use in Elements. So you’re not really doing anything wrong 🙂
